Ski season from a Birch Hollow rental
Western Maine has more ski areas within an hour's drive than most visitors expect, and several of our rentals sit right in the middle of them. Here is how close each mountain is to where you'll stay.
Sunday River and Black Mountain
The Riverside Retreat in Rumford is 20 minutes from Sunday River and 14 minutes from Black Mountain of Maine. It sleeps 14, and the game room with an arcade, air hockey and darts keeps everyone busy after the lifts close.
Deer Trail Cabin in Peru is 35 minutes from Sunday River and 24 minutes from Black Mountain. Snowmobilers can ride straight from the property onto Trail 37, and the loft theater with a 120 inch screen is the place to be on a stormy night.
Mt. Abram, Pleasant Mountain and Lost Valley
Oliver's Outlook in Norway is under 30 minutes from Mt. Abram and about 30 minutes from Pleasant Mountain and Lost Valley. Come home to the wood stove, and on a clear day walk to the top of the hill for views of Mount Washington.
Sugarloaf and Titcomb
Our Farmington homes are a short 10 minute drive from Titcomb Mountain and a scenic 45 minutes from Sugarloaf. The Farmington House sleeps 7, The Record Room sleeps 8, and The Blue Door and The Quiet Corner each sleep 4.
